Thanks Mike! Mike adds: The document is undated, but I believe it to be 1984 based on the models offered, bt possibly printed for the following year. I suspect that some of the offerings were apsirational. I have never seen, for example, a verified 1984 Special Pro (Team Champion/La Redoute Replica) in blue like that pictured, with Cinelli BB shell, A9 headset, etc. There was a bike made for the last, 1985 Motobecane team, but it wasn’t blue anymore and I have not seen it in any catalog and only one example for sale—there was a recent exchange on Bike Forums about it; its owner was hoping to sell it. I think it’s an actual team bike, not a replica. They mention Stephen Roche’s 1984 victory in the Tour de Romandie, which takes place in May. So either this was catalgue for late 1984 or 1985, in which case it’s all aspirational. By then none of the high-end models were offered. Yamaha had eviscerated the place, laying off the skilled workers, demolishing the product line, getting ready for the real target: 100% motorcycle and skooter production, which takes place to this day in St. Quentin.
